We are amazed at the response to our Buy Nothing Year journey so far and it seems as though our project is really resonating with people.

Our inboxes, Twitter feeds, Facebook pages, cell phones and blog are filling up with personal stories and resources. Yesterday, the project was profiled in Metro Calgary and we found out today that the story ran in print editions across Canada. This afternoon, Geoff connected with Simi Sara at CKNW talk radio in Vancouver and we’re on our way to CBC radio for an interview.

If you have any suggested reading/blogs/resources/links to other projects/film recommendations or a personal story you’d like to share, we invite you to post the comments or email us.

We’ll be updating the blog this weekend with our weekly reflections and our latest “vlog” (not “vee-log” as Julie’s been saying :P).

Thank you for your support!

  1. Calgary metro was how I stumbled onto your blog and story. I’ll keep my eye out for resources and information for you two. ❤ from Edmonton.
